"My little Snowy is timid around strangers and gets anxious when people barge in. So, would you please leave?" "So that's why you didn't wantcoming in?" Suzy raised an eyebrow.
"You were just trying to protect your dog?" It seemed to be true.
The moment she stepped inside, the Samoyed darted behind the curtains, whimpering like a frightened child. "What are you still standing there for? Get out! Can't you see you scared my little Snowy?" Helena sighed as she walked over and scooped the trembling dog into her arms, stroking its fur as if soothing a frightened toddler.
"Don't be scared, sweetheart. Mommy's here. I won't let anything hurt you. And don't worry, that scary-looking womannut you either." She glanced at Suzy. "She may look fierce, but deep down, she's actually a good person." To be honest, Suzy was surprised.
