"Grandma," Gladys called out softly. When the old woman didn't stir, she pushed her slightly to the side and lifted the pillow.
A manila envelope was revealed. Her eyes lit up, and a triumphant smile spread across her face.
She pulled out the envelope and quickly scanned the documents inside. The more she read, the colder her expression became,
until she was glaring at the sleeping woman with pure hatred.

Gladys showed her aunt the photos on her phone. "Auntie, do you know who Sylvia is?"
Mrs. Winters looked at the phone, her expression puzzled. She zoomed in on the text, and her face slowly hardened. "Who is
Sylvia?"
Gladys was showing her Grandma Winters’s will. In it, the old woman had left a substantial portion of her dowry to someone named
Sylvia.

priceless antiques, gold, and jade heirlooms. You know that better than | do. When she insisted on moving out, she took all of it
with her—a truckload, | heard. She's lived alone all these years, so she couldn't have spent much. Now, on her deathbed, she's not
leaving her fortune to her sons or grandchildren, but to aplete stranger. Don't you find that odd?"
