Richard froze. His mind went blank. His eyes widened, still trying to process what he had just heard.

Sofia, who was still standing with her arms crossed, shrugged casually. “Yeah, what's the problem with that?”

“What about Dan? He wouldn't want a divorced woman, either,” Richard said, his temper flaring. He couldn't
resist bringing up Dan, the guy who had been in Sofia’s life for so long.

Richard stood up, fuming. “Who wants to go look for a second marriage with you? Stop messing with me.”
“I'm telling you now. I'm never going to like you,” Richard added furiously. He got angrier as he spoke.
Sofia raised an eyebrow. “We could get the marriage license tomorrow and get divorced the next day. Who cares
if you like me? Or we could just stay married with no love at all. It doesn’t matter.”
‘So she wantsto be a divorced guy? She’s saying that once | marry, I'll be completely out of the running for
Stephanie?’ he thought.
The back-and-forth had completely thrown Sebastian off. He looked at Sofia, who was deep in thought. The
situation was spiraling out of control.
Sofia spoke up again, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “You shameless jerk. Stefi is pregnant now, carrying my
brother's child, and you're still trying to get in the way? What the hell is wrong with you?”
“You really think Stefi would want to marry you? She wouldn't even look at you, and you're still clinging to her
like a loser,” she snapped, her anger finally boiling over.
Richard had always known that the Giovanni family members could talk a big game, especially someone like
Stephanie who looked soft on the outside. But after all the training from the family, her words were anything but
harmless.
Over the past few days, Sofia had been picking fights with him, but her words hadn't been as biting. Now, she
was going all in, and Richard felt like she was a firecracker ready to explode.
“You still havent had enough, huh?” Richard shouted. “Sofia, I'm telling you. Stop twisting things and give me
my stuff back!”

up,’ he thought.
