Chapter 1109 Six months had flown by since Lucius and Amanda had returned to New Zealand.
Just like Lucius had said, Amanda wouldn't be going back to living in the university dorms-she was moving into his apartment. Of course, that also had to be approved by Anthony Moriarty.
That stern judge was slowly letting his guard down-though not entirely.
Angela, his wife, visited them whenever she could, and when she couldn't, she made sure to video call every couple of days. Valentina had formed a surprisingly strong attachment to Lucius.
One random morning, Lucius had an early extra class, and Amanda had stayed home, fast asleep. It was 10:00 a.m. and she still hadn't woken up.
The only thing that finally got her up was a wave of intense nausea. She jumped out of bed, ran to the bathroom, and threw up everything she didn't have in her stomach.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAmanda was stunned. She couldn't think of anything she'd eaten that might've made her feel that sick.
Suddenly, a thought crossed her mind. She rinsed her mouth and rushed to the nightstand where her phone was. Without hesitation, she opened thethat tracked her period.
"Shit! Damn it! Shit!" she said out loud.
"If you say one more 'shit' or 'damn' I'm going to get worried," Lucius said, leaning casually against the doorframe.
Amanda hadn't even noticed he was back from class-she'd been locked in the bathroom.
"What's going on? Judging by the look on your face, I'm guessing it's nothing good..." Lucius said, raising an eyebrow.
"Lucius... you know we've been having sex like rabbits ever since we got back from Valentia, right?" Amanda said, using one of her usual weird analogies.
"Well... I wouldn't say rabbits, exactly. That usually refers to baby-making....." Lucius replied calmly.
"Exactly... and I think that's what just happened," she said, holding out her phone.
Lucius looked at the app. All he saw was a basic calendar, with no signs of a period.
"So?" he asked, not getting it.
"We're in September, right? Scroll back..." Amanda said, pacing nervously around the room.
"You know you look super sexy when you're nervous?" Lucius teased.
"Lucius! I need the serious version of you-the glasses-wearing guy who analyzes everything like he's looking into a crystal ball!" Amanda snapped, flustered.

"Wait... what?" Lucius said, stunned.
"You do realize we've had tons of sex in this room, right? You know we've just left it up to fate?" she said, clearly panicking.
"Well... let's not jump to conclusions. Let's go buy a test and you take it. If it's positive, we'll go get a blood test to confirm. You said it yourself-we've had a lot of sex. Maybe this is just a false alarm..." "Yeah! Maybe all the unprotected sex magically created a baby... Do you realize how irresponsible we've been? If ram pregnant, based on the app, I'm already about three months along..." Amanda said, now riddled with guilt.
☐ "Okay, okay, my gorgeous, sexy woman... First things first: we go to the pharmacy, get a test—or two or three, however many it takes-and then we'll see what's what." Amanda knew a hpregnancy test would just confirm what her body had been hinting at. Yes, she'd felt a little dizzy here and there, but nothing like today-these nausea waves were something else.
She quickly threw on whatever clothes she could find and the two of them headed out hand in hand to find a pharmacy.
As soon as they got there, they asked for five pregnancy tests and leftm Back at the apartment, one by one, they started opening the boxes and prepping the tests.
One of them would even estimate how far along she was. As the timers started going off each three minutes apart, Lucius's eyes widened-almost comically-like dinner plates.
