Chapter 322
"Bailee, what are you waiting for? This is life and death! Hurry up and save him!" Leon yelled at her.
"Mr. Fuel, Mrs. Fuel, don't worry. The fact that Dr. Whitmore accepted your check yesterday means she's
confident!" another doctor chimed in confidently to reassure them.
"You're right..."
Logan hesitated for a moment, realizing his outburst. He turned to comfort Monica, "Dr. Whitmore saved Adrian
yesterday. We should trust her!"
Then he looked at Bailee. "Dr. Whitmore, I'm entrusting my son to you. Please, do whatever it takes to save him!"
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtWith that, Logan bowed deeply to Bailee.
"Please, | beg of you!" Monica, seeing Logan's gesture, also bowed to Bailee.
"Dr. Whitmore, you've got this! We believe in you!" The other medical staff around them were filled with
expectation, seven envious of the respect Bailee was receiving from the Fuel family.
"lI understand..." Bailee took a deep breath. Her legs felt weak as she slowly shuffled over to Adrian's bed.
Leon immediately handed her the three acupuncture needles. Bailee took them with a conflicted look, but she
couldn't bring herself to move any further.
These acupuncture needles couldn't just be inserted into Adrian's body carelessly. She tried to recall where
Yolanda had placed them, but nothing cto mind.
If she made one wrong move, not only would she lose any chance at a life of luxury, but she would also face jail
time. With Logan's influence in Riverdale, a single word from him could easily make her disappear without a
trace.
But she didn't know anything about acupuncture, nor did she understand the body's pressure points. The odds of
her successfully treating Adrian were basically zero.
"Dr. Whitmore, hurry up! My son's face is getting paler by the minute!" Monica shouted, her voice rising in panic.
Shouldn't the doctors be acting faster in an emergency like this? Why was everything moving so slowly?
"I'm sorry!" With a thud, Bailee's knees buckled, and she collapsed to the floor.
Tears streamed down her face as she confessed to everyone, "I lied... | made a terrible mistake... I don't know
acupuncture, | don't even know medicine!
"| wasn't the one who saved him at the crash site... It was Yolanda! She used acupuncture to save him! Please,
forgive me... | know | was wrong..."
"You wretched woman!" Logan, furious beyond words, kicked Bailee square in the chest.
"Ahh!" Bailee cried out in pain, falling to the floor as blood trickled from the corner of her mouth.
Still unsatisfied, Logan stepped forward again, his foot poised to stomp on her. If the other medical staff hadn't
stepped in to stop him, Bailee might have been kicked to death.
After the chaos subsided, Bailee, bruised and disheveled, was dragged away by hospital security and taken to
the security room. Not long after, the police arrived and escorted her away.
