Chapter 338

"This wasn't a big deal to begin with." Yolanda shook her head. "Even if we confront them, they can easily deny

everything. They'll get fined at most if we file a complaint."

"Then are we just going to let them get away with this?" Dunstan asked.

"By kicking those two out today, I've given them a warning. If they behave from now on, we can engage in fair

competition. But if they try any dirty tricks again, I'll bring out this check," Yolanda explained.

"Oh, you're using this evidence to keep them in check!" Dunstan suddenly understood. "You're such a visionary,

Ms. Henderson!"

Because of the commotion earlier, Willow Creek Clinic, which had been relatively quiet, was now bustling with

more patients. Yolanda spent the rest of the afternoon attending to them.

Around 4:00 pm, Sharon cby the clinic to invite Yolanda to dinner.

Seeing that only a few patients were waiting for their medicine, Yolanda packed her things and left with Sharon.

"Yolanda, you've been so busy lately. Is it okay for you to miss classes at the academy?" Sharon asked. She knew

Yolanda was a student at First Academy, where the rules were quite strict.

"We're having an art festival this week. Those who don't want to participate don't have to attend," Yolanda

replied, glancing out the window at the passing scenery as Sharon drove.

"First Academy really is something else; they even have art festivals!" Sharon remarked, envious. "My university

didn't even have anything like that. By the way, are outsiders allowed to join the festival?"

"Sure, as long as someone from the academy brings them in." Yolanda thought for a moment. "If you'd like, | can

take you there on the festival's last day. It's on Sunday."

"Ah... | wouldn't want to trouble you..." Sharon hesitated.

"It's no trouble. I'm planning to go see the closing art exhibition anyway."

"Great! It's settled, then! I'll pick you up at your place on Sunday morning!" Sharon said enthusiastically.

"Alright," Yolanda replied. Just as she spoke, she noticed a familiar figure by the roadside.

A disheveled middle-aged man stood there, looking around with a pale face and a weary expression. As he

wasn't someone she personally knew, he must have had sconnection with the original owner of her body.

As she searched her inherited memories, trying to recall who the man was, he suddenly darted out into the

street.

"Ah!" Sharon gasped, startled by the man's sudden movement. She quickly slammed on the brakes, stopping the

car just under three feet away from the man.

The man glanced dazedly in the direction of the car window before his body swayed, and he collapsed to the

ground.

"What... what's wrong with him?" Sharon stammered, shaken. "I didn't hit him, right?"

"Let's go check," Yolanda exclaimed. She opened the car door and approached the man before gently turning

him over to examine him. From his pulse, she could tell that while he wasn't suffering from any major internal

injuries, he was in terrible condition.

His arms and neck were covered with numerous small and large wounds.

Yolanda initially determined that he had fainted due to weakness and would need an IV drip as soon as possible.

"Let's take him back to Willow Creek Clinic and figure out how to contact his family," Yolanda suggested.

Sharon had also gotten out of the car. Although she hadn't hit him, they couldn't just leave him there.

"The clinic is too far from here. There's a hospital ahead. Let's take him there instead," Sharon replied.
