Chapter 805: It was past nine, and dinner on the table had already grown cold.
Hadley, too drained to reheat anything and lacking appetite due to her pregnancy, settled for ssoup instead. After finishing, she felt moderately satisfied.
She went upstairs, took a leisurely shower, and noticed it was already ten o'clock.
A frown crossed her face as she wondered whether Eric planned to stay out all night again.

In the image, a man sat at the long bar counter, facing the bartender, head slightly tilted as he sipped from a clear glass.
Megan leaned affectionately against him, her arm wrapped snugly around his. She smiled brightly toward the camera, her fingers shaped into a heart, directed unmistakably at him.
The caption beneath read simply: "Us, finally." Hadley's heart went numb, her thoughts blank and distant.
Gradually, reality sank in-Eric hadn't returned hbecause he was with Megan.
Suddenly, Megan's words echoed sharply in her memory-"Since Eric doesn't truly care about you, I won't bother holding back." Clearly, Megan had meant every word.
Hadley silently set her phone aside, rolled over, and forced herself into a restless sleep.
Near dawn, she stirred awake and checked her phone, realizing it was five in the morning.
Eric hadn't cback all night? She stretched slowly, rubbing her belly, and decided to head downstairs to warm up a cup of milk to ease her hunger.
Just as she reached the kitchen, a noise at the front door caught her attention. Thinking the housekeeper had arrived unusually early, she called out, “Fiona, is that you?" But instead of Fiona, it was Eric who stood at the door. Their eyes met suddenly in startled silence—hers wide with surprise, his quickly lowering. Eric gave a faint, distant smile, swiftly breaking eye contact as he brushed past her shoulder to head inside.

Hadley hesitated, disturbed by the unmistakable scent of alcoholand e lingering perfaround him.
"I wanted to ask if I can move out of Silver Villas," she said quietly, m meeting his gaze with careful steadiness. "We... broke up, didn't we?"
His relaxed demeanor instantly vanished, his dark eyes sharpening, the fatigue and faint intoxication dissipating in a flash.
