Moss quickly seized his hand, checked to ensure the flask was empty, and then released Melon.

With a huff, he said, “There! | just helped you.

You'll be fine after drinking it.”

“Nonsense! You are lying!” Melon was far from convinced.

He lunged at Moss again, attempting to bite him.

However, the awful stench left in his mouth made him gag, and he collapsed onto the floor, retching.

Melon couldn't wrap his head around it.

Moss had countless ways to get rid of him, yet he had chosen the most revolting one-feeding him something so

disgusting.

He resolved to never reconcile with Moss.

As Melon seethed with anger, Moss picked him up and popped a strawberry into his mouth.

Before Melon could properly chew, he burped and passed out.

The potion had a drowsiness-inducing ingredient.

With the child taken care of, Moss swiftly placed Melon into a baby stroller and covered him with a soft blanket.

Then, Moss donned a wig and a pair of black glasses, disguising himself.

With his new look, he pushed the stroller out of the room casually.

Holden arrived at the hotel with an entourage of bodyguards dressed in black.

Shawn had traced the landline number to this hotel.

The hotel had been closed recently because of its equipment failure.

That was why it hadn’t been checked by Holden's team.

By a stroke of luck, the hotel reopened today.

As the bodyguards entered the hotel lobby, they quickly dispersed into smaller groups, each heading toward

different directions to search for Melon.

Holden surveyed the lobby with a cold expression.

He reflected on the hotels history.

It had once been a great establishment under the Anderson Group.

Suddenly, one of the bodyguards escorted the hotel manager to Holden.

The manager, a long-serving employee of the Anderson family, immediately recognized Holden.

It had surprised him to see the transformation of Holden from the Anderson family’s eldest son to the influential

leader of the Fredrick Group.

“Mr.

Fredrick, it’s unexpected and a great honor to have you visit our hotel,” the manager said with a courteous

smile, attempting to flatter Holden.

“Would you like to book a room, or...”

Holden, however, barely acknowledged the manager, his attention fixed elsewhere.

“Someone very important to Mr.

Fredrick was taken from him.

Our investigation led us to this hotel,” Shawn said to the manager.

“Have you noticed any suspicious people around here recently?”

The manager, taken aback, quickly responded with an apologetic expression, “Well, to be honest, | haven't seen

anyone suspicious.

The hotel was closed up until today, and most of our guests today are regulars.

Perhaps, there's been a misunderstanding?”

“If we really made a mistake, Mr.

Fredrick wouldn't have bothered to chere himself,” Shawn said coldly.

Catching a glimpse of Holden's stern gaze, the manager stiffened in apprehension.

He stammered, “R-Right.

It's probably our oversight.

Perhaps we accidentally let someone suspicious slip through.”

Many people were wary of crossing Holden because of his influential status, often resorting to flattering

comments to stay in his good graces.

However, Holden wasn't here for empty praises; he was here to search for Melon.
